Job Description
Crum & Forster is a well-established insurance company known for its superior customer service and strong financial ratings. They are seeking an Associate Underwriter Trainee to participate in a fast-paced training program that will provide foundational knowledge in Commercial Lines insurance, allowing for career progression opportunities upon completion.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Seneca’s Underwriting Training program to gain foundational knowledge in Commercial Lines insurance
- Complete 6-9 months of courses, self-study, and on-the-job training in various Commercial Lines coverages
- Develop technical underwriting skills and build core competencies
- Gain broad exposure to Seneca’s operations and learn about underwriting
- Upon successful completion of the training program, be assigned an underwriting territory and position
Skills
- College graduate with a 3.0 GPA minimum
- College degree in many majors will be considered
- Ability to learn through self-study
- Strong work ethic, verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
- Relocation opportunities throughout the US
- Risk Management major a plus but not required
- Recent college graduates who have 6 months to 1 year of related experience
