About the position The Back Order Specialist will support planner/schedulers by expediting non-stock and stock backorders, ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet distributor requirements. This role involves identifying supplier deficiencies and recommending improvements, achieving supplier performance metrics, and managing a proportional share of the premium freight budget. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements, including demand, kits, and firm future orders. Responsibilities β’ Support planner/schedulers in expediting non-stock and stock backorders. β’ Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet distributor requirements. β’ Identify supplier deficiencies and recommend actions for improvement. β’ Achieve supplier performance metrics. β’ Make fact-based decisions on supplier overtime. β’ Manage a proportional share of the premium freight budget. β’ Collaborate with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements, including demand, kits, and firm future orders. β’ Procure and expedite the delivery of parts to support expected demand and replenishment requirements. Requirements β’ Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. β’ Previous experience with SAP/ERP systems. β’ Good attendance and job tenure. β’ Experience in purchasing, logistics, and procurement. Nice-to-haves β’ Experience with supply chain and asset inventory management. β’ Data entry skills. β’ Administrative support experience.
