Responsibilities & Qualifications: The Business Process Reengineering Specialist supports process modernization initiatives across enterprise or program environments. This role applies advanced process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and internet-related strategies to help organizations transition to modernized operations, increase efficiency, and enhance mission outcomes. The specialist will work closely with stakeholders to analyze workflow, develop optimized processes, and introduce automated solutions that align with project requirements and organizational goals. Responsibilities β€’ Apply process improvement, business process reengineering, and internet-based methodologies to support modernization projects. β€’ Lead efforts to transition existing organizations, projects, or systems toward improved use of automated tools, digital capabilities, and modern business practices. β€’ Conduct activity and data modeling, workflow analysis, and business method development to support process transformation. β€’ Identify and document best practices, performance gaps, and optimization opportunities. β€’ Develop, implement, and evaluate performance measurements to assess process effectiveness. β€’ Facilitate group discussions, workshops, and process mapping sessions with stakeholders. β€’ Conduct interviews, provide training, and support various forms of knowledge transfer to ensure adoption of newly designed processes. β€’ Collaborate with technical teams, web architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across modernization efforts. β€’ May provide daily supervision, direction, and task oversight to junior business reengineering professionals or web architecture staff. β€’ Must be available to be onsite at the USPTO office in Arlington, VA within 48 hours of customer request Overview: We are seeking a Business Process Improvement Specialist to join our team supporting U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
