Commercial Auto Physical Damage Adjuster
K2 Claims Services, LLC ("K2 Claims"), a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, is seeking a full-time Commercial Auto Physical Damage Adjuster to join its team. This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings or projects at our offices in San Diego, California, or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of commercial auto physical damage experience and be a motivated self-starter, eager to contribute to building a world-class TPA.
K2 Claims offers an opportunity to join a well-established, growing company. As a third-party administrator, K2 Claims handles claims in property, general liability, auto, professional liability, and workers' compensation for specialty programs.
Pay Range: $85,000-$100,000 USD/year

Responsibilities and Expectations
The Commercial Auto Physical Damage Adjuster will:
Β Handle claims in compliance with state-specific insurance regulations and K2 Claims' Best Practices.
Β Manage physical damage claims ranging from low exposure to complex cases, with expertise in semi tractors and trailers (e.g., oil/gas tankers, natural gas tankers). Knowledge of reefer, dry van, and flatbed trailers is preferred.
Β Investigate facts of loss to confirm liability, including obtaining statements, analyzing documents, and evaluating damages.
Β Collaborate with adjusters managing additional coverages (e.g., bodily injury claims).
Β Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
Β Analyze risk transfer options and/or insurance priority (e.g., time of risk).
Β Escalate time-sensitive demands and lawsuits as necessary.
Β Manage salvage bids and awards.
Β Refer claims to subrogation and/or SIU as appropriate.
Β Write detailed large loss reports, including reserve/settlement recommendations and action plans for senior management and clients.
Β Analyze physical damage coverage in relation to the facts of loss.
Β Obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
Β Travel as needed for training, mediations, or trials.
Preferred Education and Experience
Β Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
Β Experience handling commercial auto physical damage claims for a variety of equipment, including semi tractors, oil/gas tankers, natural gas tankers, dry van, reefer, and flatbed trailers.
Β Previous experience working in a TPA or insurance carrier environment.
Β Familiarity with multi-state statutory claims handling requirements.
Β Strong customer service focus.
Β Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Β Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Β Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Β Flexibility for occasional business travel.
