The Commercial Insurance Underwriter - Public Auto position at CRC Insurance Services, Inc. involves underwriting new and renewal business, approving policy changes, and providing leadership to a production/underwriting team. Responsibilities
Β Underwrite new and renewal business.

Β Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by manager.

Β Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients.

Β Communicate properly and timely with all producers regarding submissions and decisions for new or renewal business.

Β Approve and disapprove endorsement requests according to internal and Company guidelines.

Β Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.

Β Review and handle policy servicing requests appropriately.

Β Review inspection reports and compare to the conditions that were represented at the time of binding and take appropriate actions.

Β Meet or exceed file documentation standards and comply with underwriting authority level standards.

Β Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.
Requirements
Β Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation.
,
Β Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts.
,
Β Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance.

Β Ability to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance.
,
Β Knowledge of the risk exposures associated with clients' needs.

Β Recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry.

Β Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating.

Β Ability to use company automation.

Β Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with agencies.

Β Provide necessary instruction to underwriting support staff.

Β Exercise discretion in making decisions.
