Job Description
Black Cultural Zone CDC is seeking a Data Support Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone for their data collection and tracking systems. This role is essential for maintaining data integrity and supporting the organization's mission of centering Black arts, culture, and economics in East Oakland.
Responsibilities
- Support the Manager in managing and updating data design and technical infrastructure
- Work with teams to map, document, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data collection and management to ensure organizational consistency
- Execute regular data entry and perform audits to ensure data quality and security across all platforms
- Support teams in updating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and gather information for regular reporting cycles to ensure accurate data for stakeholders
- Provide real-time technical assistance for data tools through "Open Office Hours" and collaborate with the Qualitative Coordinator to align metrics with narrative stories
- Attend in-person meetings, participate in "all the BCZ things," and contribute to monthly initiative success reports
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in data entry, infrastructure support, or technical coordination is required
- Must possess extreme attention to detail for record-keeping
- Must be able to work at a standard computer terminal
- Must be able to travel occasionally to BCZ hubs and partner locations
- Experience in a non-profit or community-based setting is preferred
- Familiarity with data toolkit components (e.g., Excel/Sheets, SQL, Tableau, R/Python) is preferred
- The ability to proactively master new digital tools and stay agile as processes evolve is essential
