- Duties
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver impactful analytics solutions using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Spark.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines utilizing ETL tools like Talend and Bash scripts to facilitate efficient data processing from diverse sources including linked data and big data platforms.
- Develop advanced models for unsupervised learning, natural language processing, and AI applications to extract insights from complex datasets.
- Oversee model training, validation, deployment, and ongoing performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability across various business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytics strategies that incorporate SQL, Python, R, SAS, VBA, Java, C, and other programming languages for comprehensive data analysis.
- Architect robust database designs that support large-scale data mining efforts while ensuring data integrity and security standards.
- Utilize cloud services such as AWS for scalable model deployment and management of machine learning workflows in a secure environment.
- Implement analytics dashboards using Looker or similar BI tools to visualize insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Drive innovation by exploring quantum engineering concepts where applicable to enhance computational efficiency in complex problem-solving scenarios.
- Experience
- Proven experience managing data science teams in a fast-paced environment with a focus on AI and machine learning applications.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong background in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems for large-scale data processing.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, Java, C, Bash (Unix shell), VBA for developing analytical models and automation scripts.
- Deep understanding of database design principles along with experience working with SQL-based systems and linked data sources.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments—particularly AWS—for model deployment and scalable analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of natural language processing techniques and AI methodologies for building intelligent applications.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend or equivalent for seamless data integration workflows.
- Ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights through visualization tools like Looker or similar platforms.
