Acting as a trusted intermediary between sellers and buyers β including Dental Support Organizations (DSOs) and private investors β Growth Cluster manages the full transaction lifecycle, from financial preparation and diligence through closing. The firmβs long-term vision is to expand into additional industries and build a leading global business sales advisory platform.
Role Overview
The Dental Sell-Side Advisor is the primary engine for converting dental leads into high-value
signed contracts. You will navigate the complex landscape of private equity-backed Dental
Service Organizations (DSOs) and act as a strategic advisor for multi-million dollar transitions.
This role requires a sophisticated blend of financial literacy, local market credibility, and the
ability to build deep trust with practitioners as they transition their lifeβs work
Key Responsibilities
β End-to-End Deal Management: Manage a high-volume pipeline and consistently
deliver signed contracts within the dental vertical.
β Valuation & Analysis: Perform dental-specific valuations using US metrics, EBITDA
normalization, and clinical metric interpretation (e.g., active patient counts and case
acceptance).
β DSO Relationship Leadership: Establish and maintain "First-Look" status with major
US Dental Service Organizations and private equity groups.
β Deal Structuring: Navigate complex M&A components including "Holdbacks,"
"Earn-outs," and "Equity Rolls".
β Data Integrity: Ensure 100% accuracy in P&L gathering and tax return analysis before
presenting to senior executives.
β Vertical Penetration: Secure deals across targeted sub-verticals, including General
Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery
Who You Are
Experienced in healthcare, veterinary, dental, or professional services environments
Comfortable building trust with business owners and senior stakeholders
Structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deals in parallel
Confident discussing financial performance and business fundamentals
Naturally consultative, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
Skills & Experience
β Professional Background: Over 5 years of experience and proven background in
finance, investment banking, or equity sales. Particular background in dentistry and
dental practice brokerage is a huge plus.
β Education: Bachelorβs or Masterβs Degree in Finance or related field
β Financial Literacy: Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in US dental M&A deal
structures.
β Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the "Buy-Box" criteria for major US groups
like Heartland, Aspen, or Pacific Dental.
β Technical Skills: Ability to analyze clinical metrics and dental-specific benchmarks (e.g.,
payroll % to revenue, lab fee ratios)
β Digital Literacy: Proficiency in CRM management and digital tools to maintain pipeline
discipline
