Orion Solutions Group has teamed up with a leading transportation and logistics provider that offers both asset-based and 3PL brokerage solutions. With a dedicated fleet and a robust network of third-party carriers, they deliver flexible, scalable, and cost-effective transportation solutions across FTL, LTL, intermodal, drayage, warehousing and managed transportation services. Our client is looking for a Director of Corporate Solutions. This is an individual contributor role that will be responsible for selling our clients managed transportation and technology solutions.

Β Base Salary, $150K, plus commission.
Responsibilities:
Β Call on senior and C-level decision making authorities.
Β Manage multiple lengthy sales processes simultaneously.
Β Collaborate with potential clients in a very consultative manner.
Β Assist in developing multimodal, tech-forward logistics solutions.
Β Work collaboratively with internal resources including IT, engineering, executive leadership, finance, pricing, procurement, and operations.
Β Continually conduct follow-up to solidify relationships and grow volume and margin with current customers.
Β Prepare and present value proposals, supply chain solutions and pricing to potential and current customers.
Β Responsible for maintaining company defined margins and improving yield and volume.
Β Liaison between customer and multiple internal Hub departments, e.g. Account Management, Onboarding, Marketing, Pricing, Credit/collections, Sales Analytics, etc.
Β CRM Management, reporting and communication of sales meeting/prospecting activity.
Β Maintain an up-to-date online pipeline and meeting notes in LotusNotes for Management review.
Β Social selling a plus, e.g. LinkedIn
Β 80% of time should be spent in front of targeted potential and current customers and 20% of time should be spent in designated office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Β Undergraduate degree preferred.
Β Major or significant coursework in logistics and supply chain management a plus
Β 5 yearsΒ relevant experience in supply chain/logistics/transportation preferred.
Β Travel 50% or as required.
Β Strong presentation skills to executive audience required.
Β Strong writing and verbal communication aptitude and proven ability to provide creative suggestions and vision relative to closing on targeted strategic accounts.
Β Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
