- *Your role and responsibilities** IBM is looking for a detail-oriented and curious Entry-Level Technical Writer to help developerslearn and succeed with our strategic AI products and open-source projects. In this role, you’llcreate clear, accurate, and engaging documentation that guides developers from getting startedto mastering advanced use cases.You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and developer advocates to ensure ourdocumentation is technically sound, easy to follow, and aligned with real-world developerworkflows
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- *Write Developer-Focused Documentation:** Create and maintain tutorials, API references, conceptual guides, and troubleshooting content for IBM’s AI offerings andopen-source tools.
- *Simplify Complex Concepts**: Translate technical information into clear, concise, and accessible content for developers of varying skill levels.
- *Collaborate with Technical Teams:** Work closely with engineering, product, and advocacy teams to gather information, validate accuracy, and stay aligned with productupdates.
- *Support the Developer Journey:** Ensure documentation covers the full developer experience—from onboarding and setup to advanced integrations and optimization.
- *Improve Content Continuously:** Monitor feedback channels, analyze usage data, and iterate on documentation to improve clarity, completeness, and usability.
- *Contribute to Open Source**: Participate in documentation efforts for open-source projects, including README files, contribution guides, and community wikis.

- *Required education** High School Diploma/GED
- *Required technical and professional expertise**
- *Strong writing and editing skills** with a focus on clarity, structure, and developer empathy
- *Basic understanding of programming languages** (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and software development workflows
- *Familiarity with AI/ML concepts** and open-source ecosystems
- *Ability to work independently** and manage multiple documentation projects
- *Experience using documentation tools** such as Markdown, Git, and static site generators (e.g., Docusaurus, MkDocs)
- *Strong communication skills**
