- *Job Summary**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll work as part of a sales team to provide exceptional service to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and providing specialized services to customers
- Performing transactions quickly, efficiently, and professionally
- Providing layaway services, refunds, merchandise exchanges, and price adjustments in accordance with arenaflex policy
- Taking and placing customer special orders, computing costs, and following up regularly with applicable buyers and vendors
- Monitoring the status of rain checks, tracking orders, and advising customers of receipt and delivery
- Assisting customers in opening NEXCARD accounts, providing applications, and basic program information
- Becoming knowledgeable in arenaflex store policies, including Richter Merchandising System functions and operation, merchandise returns, price matching, check cashing, and rain checks
- Interacting with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner, adhering to arenaflex dress codes and uniform standards
- Communicating information to customers knowledgeably and legibly, following up on commitments, and handling all details necessary to successfully complete sales encounters
- Reviewing stock assortments, communicating regularly with supervisors, store managers, and other team members regarding additions, deletions, customer preferences, needs, and problems
- Participating in department meetings, actively seeking to exchange ideas regarding improvements in customer service, job performance, and achievement of store department sales goals
- Performing cash register transactions, including cash, charge, check, layaway, and gift certificate transactions, in an accurate and procedurally correct manner
- Shopping the competition to become familiar with commercial sector retail store sales events, policies, best practices, and services
- Advising customers of upcoming sales events and services available throughout arenaflex, such as gift wrapping, engraving, delivery, gift certificates, and other services
- Maintaining a high level of awareness in assigned areas and offering excellent customer service to all patrons, internal and external, to deter theft
- Completing paperwork associated with merchandise inventory movement, price adjustments, customer returns, cash register operation, and other related duties
- Assisting in training new associates in store programs and policies as assigned
- *Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 1 year of responsible experience in clerical, office, or retail sales store work, demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position
- Study completed in a college, university, or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience
