The AVS Operations Team is dedicated to facilitating the accurate and secure transmission of applicant information, thereby maximizing the impact of government funds by reducing fraud and expediting benefits eligibility. - *About the Role**
As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for processing Asset Verification Requests for Government Agencies. Your tasks will include opening incoming mail, sorting faxes, and mailing requests to financial institutions. You will enter balance and account information into our internal web applications and handle paper requests. Daily tools include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, file explorer, mail inserters, fax machines, printers, and 10-key.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- On-site Work: This position requires hybrid work from our office in Evanston, Illinois.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial and account balance data provided by financial institutions, meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Record Maintenance: Keep detailed records of data entry tasks.
- Deadline Management: Process data within the same day of receipt, adhering to strict service level agreements.
- File Handling: Rename and split large files promptly after training.
- Mail Operations: Operate envelope inserters and other mail equipment efficiently.
- Mail Sorting: Sort incoming mail by type of data.
- Follow-up: Contact financial institutions regarding requests with missing account information, including phone communication if necessary.
- Mail Pickup: Occasionally pick up mail from the nearby Post Office.
- Additional Duties: Perform other department responsibilities as required.
- *Requirements:**
- Education: College degree preferred; high school diploma required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; 10-key proficiency (assessment will be given during interview).
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to high-quality performance.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to objectively analyze information and draw correct conclusions.
- Pressure Management: Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Self-Motivation: Reliable and able to work independently as well as in a team.

- Security Clearance: Must obtain contract-specific security clearance as a condition of continued employment.

- *Compensation:**
The salary range for this position is $41,600.00 - $69,300.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
