As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting external content creation teams that utilize our tools. Your primary responsibilities will include providing technical support, creating reference materials, and escalating complex issues to our development team. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality. - *Essential Functions/Responsibilities**
- Provide technical support to content/external teams in regard to use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and improving overall user experience.
- Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, promoting self-sufficiency and reducing support requests.
- Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, collaborating with our development team to resolve complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, working closely with production to track these issues in JIRA and ensure timely resolution.
- Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving innovation and excellence in our content creation tools.
- Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that our tools meet the evolving needs of our content creation teams.

- *Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong foundation in software development principles and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with external partners and stakeholders.

- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high-quality support.

- *Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles and technical support principles.
- Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong foundation in game development principles and best practices.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect-tracking software, with a strong understanding of agile development methodologies and project management principles.
- iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong foundation in mobile app development principles and best practices.
- 5 years of experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
- *Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
Our core hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and other work-related activities during this time. As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, but you'll be expected to maintain regular working hours and be available for meetings and collaborations during our core hours.

The overall market range for roles in this area of arenaflex is typically $150,000 - $325,000.
