Madison Settlements is looking to hire an experienced full-time Title Examiner to the team! The Title Examiner is responsible for reviewing the search from the abstractor to determine and complete the necessary steps in order to obtain a clear title. The ideal candidate would be someone who has previous experience in the title industry, someone who puts customer service at top priority, and someone that is detail oriented and precision-focused.

Essential Functions:
Examine the abstractors searches
Review for clear title (i.e. judgements/liens, subordinations, chain of title issues).
Call on judgements/liens to get payoff or release, obtaining Subordinations of 2nd mortgages, consult with legal
Prepare commitment/binder and send to the client for all cleared titles
Remain in constant communication with clients, lenders and outside parties (attorneys, banks and debt collectors)
Occasionally collect appropriate funds for judgements paid before closing
Send check or wire with judgement funds to the creditor and collect the release when available
Periodically speak with the borrower for certain clarifications or to help with questions regarding title
Monday through Friday, Remote

Position Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous Title Processing and/or Examination experience required (1-3 years)
Experience with DataTrace software required
Proficient using computer programs such as MS Office
Competencies:
