Job Description

Westinghouse Electric Co is a leader in the nuclear energy industry, committed to providing clean energy solutions. They are seeking a Fluid Systems Engineer to perform thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design and analysis for mega-projects or advanced reactors, collaborating with various project teams and presenting technical materials.


Responsibilities

  • Develop pump, valve, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications
  • Identify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks that are assigned
  • Support more senior engineering personnel in multiple design and analysis efforts
  • Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management
  • Collaborate with construction, I&C, electrical, and operations project teams with internal and/or external representation
  • Participate in customer, vendor, and regulator meetings to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs
  • Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements

Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 2025 and May 2026 Engineering Graduates encouraged to apply
  • No experience required; prior internship experience a plus
  • Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA
  • Familiarity with testing and testing analysis
  • Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000
  • Experience with ASME or API standards is preferable
  • Experience with design change control or requirements management is preferable
  • Engineer in Training Certification or Professional Engineer License is a plus
  • Ability to travel to Westinghouse or Customer
