Fractional Sales & Business Development Consultant for Growing CPA Firm

(Sales Calls, Outreach, Marketing & Strategic Growth)

Hello! I own a growing CPA firm and am looking for a talented Fractional Sales & Business Development Consultant to join our team. This role includes developing a sales system, converting leads into clients, building strategic partnerships, and developing marketing initiatives that drive sustainable growth.

Your role is to attend discovery calls, understand prospective client needs, confidently present our services, and close the sale β€” while also helping us expand our referral network and marketing presence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong consultative sales and closing skills
  • Experience selling professional services (accounting, finance, legal, consulting, SaaS, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with B2B relationship development and referral partnerships
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and clearly communicate value
  • Comfortable leading structured Zoom/Google Meet calls
  • Experience developing and executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Organized, proactive, and growth-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently in a fractional capacity

Core Responsibilities:

1. Sales Conversion

  • Attend scheduled sales calls with prospective clients
  • Identify client pain points and align them with appropriate service packages
  • Present pricing confidently and handle objections effectively
  • Follow up with warm prospects until deals close
  • Track and report on pipeline activity and conversion rates

2. Strategic Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Conduct proactive outreach on Alignable, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
  • Build relationships and collaboration opportunities with: Other CPA firms (non-competing or complementary), Bookkeepers, Nonprofit executives and consultants, Small business owners, Strategic referral partners
  • Develop and nurture referral partnerships
  • Identify co-marketing and collaboration opportunities

3. Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with firm growth goals
  • Manage and optimize campaigns using: Google Ads and Meta Business Suite (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Recommend and manage a marketing budget with clear ROI tracking
  • Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategy as needed
  • Coordinate messaging to align sales, branding, and marketing efforts

4. Webinars & Business Roundtables

  • Develop and organize educational webinars targeting business owners and nonprofit leaders
  • Put together and lead virtual or in-person business roundtables
  • Position the firm as a trusted authority in accounting, tax, and advisory services
  • Generate leads and partnership opportunities through these initiatives

5. Sales & Marketing Materials Development

  • Develop and refine sales materials and pitch decks
  • Create service overviews, proposal templates, and follow-up sequences
  • Assist with messaging for website landing pages and campaign materials
  • Strengthen overall value positioning and service packaging

Compensation:

This is a part-time, fractional role with ongoing work for the right person.

Compensation is flexible and may include:

  • Hybrid (base + commission)
  • Performance incentives tied to revenue growth and partnerships

There is opportunity for this role to grow into a long-term Business Development or Growth Partner position within the firm.
