Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) of 5-10 years experience to join our team. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of taxation and accounting principles. This position will play a crucial role in preparing tax returns, tax planning, financial reporting and analysis. Candidates should not have a tax/accounting practice of their own. Duties β’ Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, gift, and trust tax returns. β’ Perform general accounting tasks, as needed. β’ Call tax agencies as needed β’ Mentor junior staff members in tax and accounting practices and software usage. β’ Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel for efficient financial operations. Skills β’ Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits and payroll processing. β’ Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, journal entries preparation, and financial statement preparation. β’ Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and report presentation. β’ Solid understanding of financial concepts, including private equity management and accrual accounting principles. β’ Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating a strong independent work ethic.
