Job Title: Remote School Psychologist

Location: Remote (Serving students and schools in New Mexico)

Employment Type: Part-Time 1099 Contract

Certification Required: Valid New Mexico PED (Public Education Department) School Psychologist License

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote School Psychologist to provide virtual psychological services to Kโ€“12 students across New Mexico. This role involves conducting psychoeducational assessments, participating in special education eligibility determinations, supporting MTSS/RTI initiatives, and collaborating with educators and familiesโ€”all within a remote service model. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and knowledgeable about state and federal special education law.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and interpret virtual psychoeducational assessments to support special education evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Develop comprehensive, compliant evaluation reports aligned with New Mexico PED guidelines
  • Participate in virtual IEP, 504, and eligibility team meetings
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding academic, behavioral, and mental health needs
  • Support development and implementation of academic and behavioral interventions under the MTSS/RTI frameworks
  • Provide virtual counseling or social-emotional support services to students as needed
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and New Mexico state regulations
  • Utilize virtual platforms for assessment, communication, and collaboration with school teams
    Qualifications:
  • Masterโ€™s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved or regionally accredited program
  • Valid New Mexico School Psychologist License issued by the Public Education Department (PED)
  • Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience preferred
  • Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and New Mexico-specific education laws and policies
  • Proficient with teleassessment tools such as Q-interactive, Q-global, or equivalent platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a confidential home office space
    Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in a virtual school setting or teletherapy model
  • Knowledge of New Mexico's STARS and IEP management systems
  • Experience supporting students with emotional disturbance, learning disabilities, ASD, and trauma-related needs
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or Navajo/English) strongly preferred
