Job Description
Our firm is seeking a Fund Chief Financial Officer to oversee the financial management, reporting, and operational infrastructure of a hybrid private equity and venture capital platform. The Fund CFO will be responsible for all aspects of fund accounting, investor reporting, portfolio reporting, compliance, and financial operations across multiple investment vehicles. This individual will work closely with the Managing Partners and investment team to support fundraising, portfolio oversight, and the continued growth of the firm.
- Responsibilities
- Oversee all fund accounting and financial operations across private equity and venture capital funds.
- Manage capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, and partner allocations.
- Prepare and oversee quarterly and annual financial statements and NAV calculations.
- Lead investor reporting, including capital account statements and performance reporting.
- Coordinate with third-party fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.
- Oversee fund tax reporting and the preparation of investor K-1s.
- Support portfolio valuation analysis and fair value reporting.
- Consolidate financial information from portfolio companies and assist with financial oversight.
- Assist with financial aspects of fundraising, including PPM financial sections and investor due diligence.
- Develop scalable financial processes and systems to support multiple funds and strategies.
- Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, or hedgefund.
- Current experience as a Fund CFO or VP of Finance
- Strong knowledge of private fund structures, capital accounts, waterfalls, and carried interest.
- Experience managing fund accounting, investor reporting, and financial statements.
- Familiarity with GAAP, fair value accounting, and private fund reporting standards.
- Experience working with auditors, fund administrators, and institutional investors.
- CPA preferred; MBA or advanced finance degree is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $400,000.00 - $600,000.00 per year
