Job Description
- Create an interactive heatmap or similar map of the U.S. pairing data of stations that use stories from our Agricultural Reporting Project with corresponding FCC broadcast data, including but not limited to AM/FM station locations and signal contours; ArcGIS Living Atlas layers; environmental data; demographic data; and partner datasets, using ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Pro.
- The map should be capable of answering questions such as: Are these stories reaching audiences impacted by factory farms? What percentage of this audience is employed in the agricultural sector? What environmental features (wetlands, streams, etc.) are being impacted by factory farms?
- Additional Scope: The map system should be replicable for other reporting projects or configured to evaluate multiple topics simultaneously.
- Develop automated workflows for recurring data updates and analysis
- Create dashboards, documentation and user guides for data manipulation, analysis and reporting for non-technical users
If this project is successful, there is potential for ongoing projects with addition datasets.
