Role Description
- This role involves working alongside passionate caregivers to provide patient-first healthcare within the Oncology/Hematology Specialty Pharmacy.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, physicians, and payor partners to ensure timely access to specialty oncology medications and high-quality patient care.
- Review oncology medication orders and support oral chemotherapy and anticancer workflows.
- Provide patient counseling and education.
- Answer drug information questions and conduct patient outreach and follow-up.
- Work rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- No weekend requirements or major holidays; on-call expectations are present.
- Qualifications
- PharmD or Bachelorβs of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
- Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
- For individuals required to administer immunizations, Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire are required.

- Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
- Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
- Document services in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
- Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
- Direct staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers.
- Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
