Role Description

Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, physicians, and payor partners to ensure timely access to specialty oncology medications and high-quality patient care.
Review oncology medication orders and support oral chemotherapy and anticancer workflows.
Provide patient counseling and education.
Answer drug information questions and conduct patient outreach and follow-up.
Work rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
No weekend requirements or major holidays; on-call expectations are present.

PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
For individuals required to administer immunizations, Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire are required.

Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
Document services in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
Direct staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers.
Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
