Today, Esper has thousands of government users relying on our software to develop and distribute policy across the United Statesรย and weรยre just getting started! We are looking for an experienced VP of Sales & Marketing to help us expand within our existing market and grow into new verticals.
About The Role
As the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, you will own a significant portion of the customer lifecycle and go to market activities, from demand generation to the signing of new customers. This is a high impact role perfect for someone who has experience taking companies into Series B and beyond, and is eager to get in on the ground floor. The VP of Sales & Marketing reports directly to the CEO and is ultimately responsible for driving revenue growth.
What youรยll do:
รย Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing markets, while expanding into new selected verticals and achieving Company revenue goals
รย Build and implement a sales playbook
รย Continue to refine PMF of product
รย Manage and report out on sales forecast
รย Create and report on outcome-based metrics for your team
รย Define and implement demand generation across sales and marketing
รย Hire, onboard, and train team members with a winning, can-do mindset
รย Attend conferences and travel to meet prospects & customers
รย Establish best practices and a culture of excellence in our go to market team
รย Build and track a sales & marketing budget
รย Build and maintain strong relationships in our industry
รย Collaborate with your executive team peers on cross-functional goals
Preferred Qualifications
รย 3-5 years leadership experience managing Sales & Marketing functions at a Series B/C and beyond company
รย Demonstrated experience leading a sales team that has met or exceeded revenue goals
รย Experience managing demand generation activities
รย Knowledge of local and state government sales and procurement processes
รย Clear vision of how to build a winning sales teams
รย Proficiency in sales and revenue forecasting & budget management
รย Exemplary customer relationships & communication skills
รย Collaborative team player, willing to lend a hand
รย Experience in high growth startups is a bonus
Salary range: $160-210k + commission plan

This is a remote position where a candidate can reside in the following states. Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Virginia Washington, Washington, D.C or Wisconsin.
