Description The HR Specialist provides human resources and payroll support for a government program - ensuring compliance with federal regulations, agency policies, and contractual requirements. This role supports the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment and works closely with employes, managers, and program leadership to maintain accurate records, adapt to evolving directives, and support positive employee engagement. The position also supports payroll-related functions and high-volume employee inquiries. Key Responsibilities: β’ Support onboarding and offboarding processes in accordance with government and agency-specific requirements β’ Maintain, verify, and audit personnel records to ensure accuracy and compliance β’ Assist with timekeeping, payroll processing support, and benefits administration in accordance with government policies β’ Demonstrate working knowledge of payroll systems to review, validate, and resolve payroll-related issues - and play a role in the triaging of these tickets. β’ Respond effectively to shifting priorities, changing policies, and updated government directives β’ Collaborate with program leadership on employee engagement initiatives and workforce planning β’ Track and document HR actions within government and internal HR systems Qualifications: β’ Active Top Secret Clearance Required β’ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) β’ 2+ years of employee/candidate engagement experience. β’ Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and records management β’ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities β’ Demonstrated adaptability to changing policies, procedures, and directives β’ High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills β’ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Preferred Qualifications: β’ Knowledge of government HR and payroll systems, platforms, and reporting tools β’ Payroll experience, including use of payroll systems and resolving employee pay inquiries β’ Experience supporting government programs or contracts β’ Experience working in a high-volume, compliance-driven environment Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
