Job Description
Baker Law Group, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Generalist I to support the firm’s day-to-day HR operations. This role assists with onboarding, recruiting coordination, employment documentation, and HR administration for attorneys and professional staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including orientation scheduling and completion of employment documentation
- Prepare employment offer letters, job change letters, and maintain employment documentation templates
- Assist with recruiting efforts including posting positions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews
- Facilitate new hire enrollment in payroll and benefits systems
- Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy
- Support employee offboarding processes and HR administrative tasks
- Respond to routine employee inquiries related to HR policies, payroll, and benefits
- Assist with HR reporting, compliance efforts, and employee engagement initiatives
- Expected in office 3 days per week
- Must be available for in-person onboarding/orientations as needed

- Ability to support multiple priorities with strong follow-through
- Comfort interacting with attorneys, leadership, and professional staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience
- Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems
- Experience in a professional services or law firm environment
