Role Overview

As a technically advanced Okta Architect, you will collaborate with IAM developers and engineers, reporting to the Workforce IAM Technical Manager. You will be the technical driver behind the Identity and Access Management program, designing, developing, and implementing advanced Okta solutions for authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement custom OAuth and OIDC integrations with Okta.
• Manage application, org, and authorization server access policies.
• Architect, maintain, and support integrations with platforms such as Oracle, Workday, Active Directory, and Azure.
• Manage and integrate applications through the Okta Access Gateway.
• Develop Okta Workflows to automate critical business processes.
• Write custom code leveraging Okta APIs; experience with Terraform and PowerShell is required.
• Manage Org2Org federations within the Hitachi Group.
• Implement advanced Okta features including FastPass, Device Management, Assurance Policies, Desktop MFA, and Identity Threat Management.
• Mentor junior team members and perform code reviews for automation and tenant management.

Qualifications & Skills
• Expert-level understanding of authentication protocols (OIDC/OAuth, SAML) and MFA, with strong troubleshooting skills in IAM systems.
• Proficient with Okta’s API collections, SDKs, and advanced SKUs (Okta Access Gateway, Workflows, Identity Governance). Okta certifications (Consultant or higher) highly preferred.
• Skilled with PowerShell, Terraform, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity threats and how IAM programs mitigate them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; ability to collaborate in an international, dynamic team environment.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with experience handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines and budgets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
• Okta Integrations: 1 year (Preferred)
• Identity and Access Management: 2 years (Preferred)
• Okta’s API collections, SDKs, and advanced SKUs: 1 year (Preferred)
