Time Commitment: Very Part-Time (Approximately 2–4 hours per month)
Overview
Keyrenter Property Management Northshore is seeking an Independent Designated Managing Broker to provide compliance oversight for our growing property management brokerage serving single-family homeowners and real estate investors in Lake County, Illinois.
This role is designed to be extremely part-time and primarily focused on regulatory compliance and monthly transaction oversight within AppFolio property management software.

Keyrenter Property Management Northshore is fully insured and assumes all operational liability related to property management activities.
This role does not involve day-to-day property management, leasing, tenant interaction, or operational responsibilities.
- Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance Oversight
- Serve as the Designated Managing Broker for Keyrenter Property Management Northshore in accordance with the Illinois Real Estate License Act.
- Provide oversight of brokerage compliance and regulatory standards.
- Transaction Review & Approval
- Conduct periodic review and approval of property management transactions within AppFolio.
- Ensure documentation meets Illinois brokerage compliance standards.
- Monthly Brokerage Oversight
- Perform a brief monthly review of brokerage activities.
- Provide guidance on regulatory or compliance questions when needed.
- Supervisory Role
- Fulfill the supervisory responsibilities required under Illinois real estate brokerage regulations.
- Help ensure the brokerage remains compliant with IDFPR standards.
Time Commitment
- This position is structured to require approximately 2–4 hours per month, including:
- Monthly transaction review in AppFolio
- Compliance oversight
- Occasional consultation if regulatory questions arise
There are no daily operational duties.
Compensation
Competitive monthly stipend for oversight services.
This role is structured as a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
- Qualifications
- Illinois Managing Broker License (Active or Inactive)
- Experience working within an Illinois real estate brokerage
- Strong understanding of Illinois real estate compliance and brokerage regulations
