Description

The Infant Mental Health (IMH)/Home-Based Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, family-centered, and trauma-informed home-based services to infants, toddlers, and their families. This role involves supervising a team of IMH specialists and home-based therapists, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards, and providing reflective supervision and support to promote professional growth and effective service delivery.

    Essential Functions:
  • Ability to provide reflective supervision, coaching, and support to a team of IMH specialists and home-based therapists to enhance clinical skills, professional development, and reflective practice.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to assess, formulate and implement initial and ongoing assessments of the child's developmental, emotional, and social needs.
  • Operate a computer, navigate software programs and technologies to access client information and document (ACC specific and County required EMR platforms, virtual platforms).
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills during client interactions. Capable of critical thinking and situational awareness.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to clients' homes.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation of home-based services, ensuring that interventions are developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, and aligned with IMH principles.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to evaluate and enhance program effectiveness, develop policies, and implement new initiatives to meet the needs of families.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and funding requirements, including maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Provide direct clinical services to families as needed, including assessment, intervention, and crisis response, to support positive parent-child relationships and emotional well-being.
  • Offer guidance and consultation to staff on complex cases, including the development of individualized service plans and the use of evidence-based interventions.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, including healthcare providers, early childhood programs, and social services, to support comprehensive care for families.
  • Carry caseload of clients respective to behavioral health standard guidelines.
  • Perform any other assigned duties or tasks as deemed necessary by the director.
    Qualifications
  • Must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or equivalent degree in a field related to mental health from an accredited college or university.
  • Current active registration to practice social work/counseling from the State of Michigan Department of Licensing is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience providing IMH or home-based services; at least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Specialized training or certification in Infant Mental Health is highly preferred.
  • Experience in providing therapeutic services to infants, toddlers, and families.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, attachment theory, and family systems.
