We’re seeking an experienced Information Security Architect to guide the secure design of large-scale data and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, highly regulated settings and enjoys partnering with engineering and architecture teams to strengthen security posture across modern platforms.About the RoleIn this position, you’ll serve as a security architecture lead for data-centric systems, cloud-hosted platforms, and application teams building on AWS. You’ll evaluate solution designs, identify risks and gaps, communicate them clearly, and help teams adopt effective technical and procedural controls. Your work will directly shape secure patterns, threat models, and architectural decisions across a distributed organization.The Information Security Architect will lead threat modeling for applications and data platforms, assess cloud and application architectures, and recommend scalable security controls that address identified risks. This role translates complex security issues into clear guidance for both technical and business audiences while partnering with architects and development teams to ensure designs align with enterprise standards. The position also supports the creation of secure design patterns, evaluates vulnerabilities and emerging threats, strengthens CI/CD practices through security-focused tooling, and promotes strong cross-team collaboration even when navigating differing viewpoints.Required BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years in information security architecture or a closely related discipline.Strong experience designing or assessing secure solutions in AWS.Hands-on exposure securing cloud‑based workloads, especially in large or regulated environments.Familiarity with data engineering platforms such as Databricks, Starburst, Collibra, or similar tools.Deep understanding of contemporary security threats and how they apply to cloud and application ecosystems.Experience building or reviewing threat models for systems and platforms.Ability to articulate technical risk clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 800‑53).Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones.Other RequirementsMust be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or able to meet eligibility requirements set by regulated-industry clients.Ability to pass a background investigation.Willingness to travel for key meetings, interviews, or onboarding.
