Job Description
- *Interim Audit Support**
Our client, a growing privately held company, is seeking an Interim Accounting Consultant to support an upcoming audit and general accounting initiatives.
- This position is 100% remote and is expected to last approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate and support external audit activities, serving as a key point of contact
- Prepare and organize audit support materials, schedules, and requested documentation
- Track and manage open audit items to ensure timely and accurate completion
- Assist with account reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules
- Support general ledger review and month-end close-related activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve documentation and audit readiness
- Help identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements where appropriate
- Extract, organize, and analyze financial data from accounting systems
- Support additional accounting and finance projects as needed during the engagement
- *Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including audit or audit support
- Experience assisting with audit preparation and external auditor coordination
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and reconciliation processes
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
