Responsibilities
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) Coordinator assists with supporting Community Health System's IRB in ensuring compliance of all investigators with federal, state and local policies which regulate the conduct of research involving human subjects. Participates in ongoing education of investigators and IRB members in the protection of human subjects. Interacts with IRB members, internal and external regulatory offices, federal and state agencies and the community on ethical and regulatory issues governing human subjects in research.
Work Hours: Standard business hours, typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Location: This position is currently remote but there is a high probability of the position moving full-time onsite in the future in Fresno. Candidates should ideally be local to Fresno or willing to relocate at their own expense.
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific, Health, Business or related field required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate is required if qualifying without an undergraduate/graduate degree
- Experience
- IRB, clinical research or related experience preferred
- IRB Reliance Workflow experience preferred.
- Experience and/or knowledge with Institutional Review Boards (processes, applications, interactions, education) preferred
- Institutional judgment and Risk recognition experience preferred
- Ability to operate independently
- Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Must be very detail oriented.
