Job Description

The Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable will support the Accounting team with financial operations focusing on accounts payable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the business.
Responsibilities
- Process and post accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform inventory and vendor account reconciliations
- Process, approve, and reconcile employee travel and expense reports through Concur
- Manage vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor master data
- Execute payments including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Research and resolve billing and invoice inquiries with internal and external partners
- Support month-end close procedures through various accounting tasks
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and 1099 reporting
- Support SOX control procedures and compliance requirements
- Prepare periodic sustainability reports (electric and gas usage) for all U.S. locations
- Provide administrative support and assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed
- Proactively identify issues and contribute to problem-solving across accounting processes
Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 1–2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience
- Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and time management skills
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take ownership and support the broader Accounting team as needed
- SAP Business One experience
- Experience with payment processing (ACH/wires) and vendor management
