BlazerJobs is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time school-based position in Kansas City, KS. The selected candidate will work within a school environment, providing direct healthcare services to students and assisting the school nurse in ensuring the health and well-being of all students. Responsibilities:
Β Provide routine health care and first aid to students in accordance with school health policies.
Β Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Β Assist with the management of chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies) for students.
Β Monitor and manage studentsΒ health needs throughout the school day.
Β Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance as needed.
Β Assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and maintain appropriate documentation.
Β Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records in compliance with school and state policies.
Β Work closely with school administration, teachers, and parents to address health concerns.
Β Provide health education to students, faculty, and staff on various health topics.
Β Help maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring all medical supplies and equipment are ready and available for use.
Qualifications:
Β Active LPN License in the state of Kansas.
Β High School Diploma or equivalent; LPN Certification required.
Β Prior experience in healthcare, especially in pediatric or school nursing, is preferred but not required.
Β Strong communication and organizational skills.
Β Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with students.
Β Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced school environment.
Β Knowledge of school health policies and student care procedures is a plus.

Β Location: Kansas City, KS
Β Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Β Start Date: ASAP
Β Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM Β 3:30 PM (school hours)
Β Caseload: Students with varying health needs, including chronic conditions and emergency care situations.
