Job Description
El Car Wash is Florida’s #1 express car wash, transforming the car wash experience with state-of-the-art technology and eco-friendly practices. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the operation of machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of defective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Replace defective equipment parts then set specified clearances and adjust alignment of moving and stationary parts using hand and power tools
- Weld, repair and fabricate equipment or machinery as necessary
- Fabricate and dismantle parts, equipment, and machines using a cutting torch or other cutting equipment
- Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by executing preventive maintenance requirements, interpreting technical drawings or diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instruction and engineering specifications
- Documents work performed in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in order to build equipment history by creating, retrieving and closing work orders
- Red-line drawings when discrepancies are identified between a drawing and actual plant conditions
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area by complying with documentation, procedural, and applicable regulatory requirements (such as safety, environmental and housekeeping.)
- Attends and participates in required training
- Understands and follows all organizational policies, procedures and rules, ensuring that all laws are obeyed, and equal employment, safety and environmental protection are practiced
- Must be able to work more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week on any shift or travel as needed
- Experience using hand tools on mechanical equipment
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems
- Inquisitive mind and love learning how things work
- Improve systems and processes to deliver a better and more consistent end-product to our customers
- Must be excellent at working task lists to completion alone or as part of a team
- We are also looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in electrical troubleshooting and repair with devices such as 3-phase motors, relays, PLC’s, and VFD’s. We will provide job-specific training in the field
- Demonstrating leadership skills in the field
- Lead with new car wash installations and site launches
- Complete work orders, weekly timesheets, and repair logs
- Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Train staff in the operation, preventative maintenance, and repair of car wash equipment. Lead in developing and improving maintenance program
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
