Senior Business Development Manager β Medical Device - Chicago
This role offers the opportunity to represent groundbreaking medical technology that is redefining treatment approaches for high-mortality cancers. The Senior Regional Oncology Business Manager will play a critical role in educating physicians, supporting clinical adoption, and driving regional growth by communicating compelling clinical and economic value to healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate is a high-performing medical device sales professional with strong oncology, interventional radiology, or procedural sales experience, who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and is passionate about improving patient outcomes.
- Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed regional sales forecasts with a primary focus on target accounts.
- Build and execute a comprehensive territory business plan that evaluates hospitals, physicians, and growth opportunities.
- Effectively communicate clinical data, product features, and value propositions to healthcare professionals.
- Develop strong relationships with Interventional Radiologists and key clinical stakeholders.
- Drive product adoption by expanding procedural utilization and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Develop multiple physician users within each account and cultivate clinical product champions.
- Support and manage distributor sales representatives while maintaining direct responsibility for regional quota and forecast.
- Create and implement regional sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and forecasts to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, healthcare economics, and reimbursement dynamics.
- Provide case support and adjust travel schedules as necessary to support customer needs.
- Represent the organization at local and national conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of medical device sales experience.
- Experience selling physician preference items in Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, or Cath Lab environments preferred.
- Demonstrated success opening new accounts and growing existing accounts.
- Experience working in startup or high-growth organizations preferred.
- Proven sales performance including awards, quota attainment, or top-tier rankings.
- Strong clinical and technical communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with physicians and healthcare leadership.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40β60%.
- Demonstrated award winner (Presidents club, ect).
- Hunter Mentality, proven success with opening new accounts.
Compensation: 200k base, 345k at plan, car allowance, Stock Options
