Job Description
Deseret First Credit Union is recognized for its excellent workplace culture and is seeking a Member Service Agent. This role involves providing service to members by processing financial transactions and educating them on credit union products and services via phone and electronic correspondence.
Responsibilities
- Takes incoming calls from members to assist them with account needs and transactions
- Opens new accounts
- Processes checks
- Responds to members' e-mail and chat system inquiries
- Provides credit union products and services to existing members
Skills
- High school diploma or GED and six months of experience working with the general public required
- Previous phone experience is helpful
- Must be friendly, personable, professional, and service-oriented
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box and problem solve
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to change
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite; strong ability to learn new software programs
