Job Description

Canvas Credit Union is dedicated to transforming financial services and providing support to their members. They are seeking a Member Service Representative to work in their Communications Center, where the role involves educating members on financial products, processing transactions, and providing ethical product solutions.

Responsibilities

LEARN about our members and hear them and understand their situations
EDUCATE our members on the ways we can help them afford life
PROVIDE meaningful, careful, focused and ethical product solutions
PROCESS transactions like transfers and payments with courtesy and consummate professionalism
PERFORM advanced transactions like IRAs, CDs, open accounts, wire transfers, and calmly handle disputes
GROW with us by immersing in financial industry trends, products, services and technological advances
SHARE your knowledge on effective practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities
STAND shoulder-to-shoulder with our members and your teammates over our peaks and valleys

Skills

Availability to work any of the three shifts: 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, Saturday 9am-1pm, 7:50am-4:50pm Monday-Friday, or 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
Ability to work a flexible schedule Monday thru Saturday — 40 hours per week
Experience in customer service, preferably in a financial services environment
Understanding of financial products and services
Comfortable and confident recommending and processing financial products like loans
Ability to process transactions with courtesy and professionalism
Ability to perform advanced transactions like IRAs, CDs, open accounts, wire transfers, and handle disputes
Strong communication skills to educate members on financial solutions
Ability to work well with others and embrace change
Passion for helping others and a desire for a career, not just a paycheck
Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish
Experience in a leadership position at the current workplace
