Overview
We are seeking a motivated Mental Health Intern that is currently in school to join our team.
This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic mental health setting.
- Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting behavioral assessments and developing behavior management plans
- Participate in life coaching sessions and mental health counseling under supervision
- Engage in research projects and contribute to data collection and analysis
- Support crisis intervention efforts and crisis management strategies
- Collaborate with professionals in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Explore the application of dance therapy in mental health treatment
- Gain exposure to telehealth practices and assist in virtual counseling sessions
- Qualifications
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or related field
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and documentation standards
- Knowledge or interest in addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and crisis intervention
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Passion for research and learning new therapeutic approaches
- Experience or willingness to learn
