About the Role
MetroSys is seeking a Network & Systems Administrator to provide fractional IT support for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a versatile IT professional with strong experience in patch management, vulnerability management, systems/network troubleshooting, and Tier 2 help desk support.
- The candidate will work closely with the client’s existing IT team to ensure secure, stable, and optimized operations while providing direct support for escalated technical issues.Key Responsibilities
- Perform patch management and routine system updates across servers, endpoints, and network devices.
- Conduct vulnerability management assessments and assist in remediation planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues escalated beyond Tier 1 support.
- Provide Tier 2 help desk support, including Windows OS, applications, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with documentation and reporting related to IT operations, patching, and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the client’s IT team to ensure IT processes align with security best practices.
- Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in systems and network administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, patching tools, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Solid troubleshooting skills across network and systems infrastructure.
- Experience providing Tier 2 end-user support in a professional environment.
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, NIST) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fractional, remote capacity.
