Aphios Corporation, a clinical-stage platform biotechnology company committed to developing enabling nanotechnologies and advanced therapeutics, is seeking an experienced and reliable On-Call IT Consultant to provide support across our software, hardware, and server infrastructure. This role is ideal for an independent IT professional or consulting firm seeking a flexible, project-based engagement.
- Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain internal Windows-based servers (local and cloud-integrated)
- Provide support for networking, backup systems, and file management
- Manage desktop/laptop setup, updates, software configuration, and repair
- Support Windows, Office 365, remote desktop, and collaboration tools
- Ensure network security, data backup, and user access protocols are up-to-date
- Provide on-site or remote support during outages, updates, or when technical issues arise
Qualifications
✅ Proven experience in IT support across software, hardware, and server administration
✅ Deep familiarity with Windows Server OS, networking (LAN/WAN), firewalls, and Active Directory
✅ Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop/laptop hardware and common office software suites
✅ Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud backup tools, and Microsoft Office 365
✅ Experience supporting small businesses or research environments preferred
✅ Ability to respond to urgent issues on an as-needed/on-call basis
