Job Description
Centerline is seeking an experienced OSP Coax Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot coaxial cable networks in both aerial and underground environments. The role involves ensuring reliable broadband service through construction, testing, and repair of HFC systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, splice, and repair coaxial cable in OSP environments (aerial & underground)
- Perform aerial and underground coax construction, including strand placement and cable lashing
- Perform signal level testing, sweep, and system balancing
- Read and interpret prints, maps, and network diagrams
- Troubleshoot repair faults efficiently
- Confident working independently on both passive and active network elements
- Operate bucket trucks and other telecom equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Document work completed and maintain accurate records
Skills
- 1–3+ years of experience in coaxial cable installation or telecommunications field work
- Strong knowledge of HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) networks preferred
- Experience with aerial and underground construction methods
- Ability to read and understand system maps and design prints
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined space

- Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 40 lbs continuously
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity
- Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
- Frequent maintenance window work will be required and included as part of schedule
- Experience with sweep and balance of coax systems
- Knowledge of RF signal flow and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with cable TV or broadband network systems
- OSHA safety training or certification
