Job Description
EC Electric is a company that specializes in electrical services, and they are seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage union payroll processes. The role involves processing union reporting, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with local union agreements while providing support for audits and payroll systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes, prepares and input payroll union benefit reporting monthly
- Ensures compliance with all local union agreements
- Update pay rate and benefits increases per union schedule
- Correspond with new locals to ensure smooth set up
- Partner with project site to ensure local setup accuracy
- Performs various journal entries, accounts reconciliations, and provides general ledger support
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
- Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with Union benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support
- Process union benefit payments into accounting system
- Work with Payroll Manager in providing necessary reports and documentation for union audits as needed
- GL reconciliations for all union payroll accrual accounts
- Assists Payroll Manager with various research projects and/or special projects
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Must have GL Reconciliation experience
- Must have payroll processing experience
- Typing and 10K proficient
- Union Reporting experience preferred
