Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Platform Engineer to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. In this role, you will use your technical skills to improve client environments with container software and support the development of critical cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop container management software to solve client challenges
- Support the team in strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process
- Recommend resources for clients to manage and securely adopt containers
- Strengthen DevOps skills while supporting the development of cloud platforms
Skills
- Experience with software development or programming in a DevOps environment
- Experience with automation tools
- Experience managing Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
