Prior Authorization Representative Compensation
Β The pay for this position is $17.50 per hour
Β Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
Β A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Prior Authorization Representative Highlights
Β Customer service focus.
Β Class with set start date
Β Fully remote (never coming onsite)
Β Training hours 8:00a Β 4:30p CT
Β Varying shifts from 7:00a Β 8:00p CT
Prior Authorization Representative Responsibilities
Β The Rep I, Clinical Services takes in-bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc providing professional and courteous phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process.
Β Effectively manage work volume by handling inbound/outbound calls/fax/EPA requests utilizing appropriate courteous and professional behavior based upon established standards.
Β Comply with departmental, company, state, and federal requirements when processing all information to ensure accuracy of information being provided to internal and external customers
Β Communication with other internal groups regarding determination status and results (seniors, pharmacists, appeals, etc).
Β Identify and elevate clinical inquiries to the pharmacist team as appropriate.
Prior Authorization Representative Requirements
Β Computer experience is required with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Β Basic alpha number data entry skills with attention to accuracy and quality is essential
Β Intermediate math skills are required with attention to detail and quality essential
Β Must have effective and empathetic communication style in managing inbound calls and communications with clients and team members.
Β Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize a fluctuating workload and competing priorities is essential.
Prior Authorization Representative Preferred Qualifications
Β High School Diploma or GED
Β 0-3 years in a customer service or call center environment managing 75 calls/day.
Β Experience in a health care setting or insurance industry is a plus, including knowledge of basic insurance and third party terms and medical terminology
