Job Description
HCCS currently has multiple full-time and part-time openings for experienced and certified Pro Fee and Pro Clinic/Outpatient Coders. The ideal candidate will need to have three plus years of current medical coding experience in coding Pro Fee/Clinic charts, along with a current coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (CCA and CPC-A credentials are not accepted). Full-time candidates will be expected to work 40 hours per week, M-F.
Position Requirements:
Current coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC
CCA and CPC-A not accepted
Three or more years of coding experience in Pro Fee IP/OBS/SDS and/or Clinic/Outpatient Coding
Three or more years of E/M Leveling experience
Recent experience in production coding within the past six months
Proficiency in coding using the 2023 coding guidelines and MDM
Specialty Areas (one or more of the following are required):
Family & Internal Medicine
Pediatrics
Rural Health Clinic
Wound Care and Gastroenterology
Multi-Specialty
