Job Description
nesto is Canada’s leading provider of mortgage technology and financing solutions, and they are seeking a Product Analyst to bridge the gap between business intent and technical reality. The role involves transforming stakeholder ideas into user stories, creating customer journey maps, and working closely with developers to ensure seamless execution of new features.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovation by transforming stakeholder ideas into user stories, feature scopes, and technical requirements
- Own the interface by creating customer journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes that define the user experience before it reaches the development phase
- Use SQL queries to investigate system behaviour, navigate databases, and resolve reported issues at the source
- Work side-by-side with front-end and back-end developers to ensure technical feasibility and seamless execution of new features
- Build close relationships with clients to gather requirements, analyze user behaviour, and champion product improvements that solve real-world pain points
- Implement system changes and configurations to tailor our lending solutions to the specific business needs of our partners
Skills
- Post-secondary education in computer science, business, information technology, statistics, or a related field
- You thrive in a collaborative environment, maintaining tight feedback loops between internal and external stakeholders
- You possess a natural 'owner' mindset with the initiative to identify pain points and drive feature ideas from concept to completion
- You leverage SQL to investigate system behavior and navigate databases independently, allowing you to anticipate edge cases and document the 'if/then' logic required for a bulletproof feature
- You can take a high-level, sometimes vague business request and distill it into a structured technical requirement that an engineer can execute without constant back-and-forth
- You understand how a single change in one part of the platform can ripple across the entire ecosystem, and you document those dependencies meticulously
Benefits
- Premium benefits plan fully paid by nesto, including comprehensive insurance and unlimited access to telemedicine and mental health services for you and your family.
- 4 weeks of vacation to ensure you stay at peak performance.
