Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crum & Forster is a well-established insurance company providing specialty and standard commercial lines insurance products. They are seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to support technology platforms, manage production issues, and assist in project management activities while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for user-reported issues, questions, and requests related to production systems
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues, escalating as needed and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and recurring trends to support continuous improvement
- Assist in coordinating small-scale projects and process enhancements, including scheduling meetings, tracking action items, and updating project documentation
- Gather and document business requirements and user stories in a clear and concise manner
- Support backlog management by assisting in organizing, prioritizing, and tracking tasks to maximize business value
- Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure successful deployment of system changes and enhancements
- Communicate project and production status, roadblocks, and solutions to team members and leadership
- Create and maintain process documentation, including step-by-step guides and workflow diagrams
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and user support materials
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1-2+ year of experience or relevant internship experience
- Strong interest in production support, technology operations, and project coordination
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
- Experience with Confluence and Jira is a plus
- Experience supporting insurance operations (Auto, General Liability, Excess/Umbrella) is preferred but not required
