Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Waste Solutions Canada is one of the largest independent management companies for waste and recycling services in Canada. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for auditing vendor invoices, creating client invoices, and answering billing-related questions while collaborating with the financial team.
Responsibilities
- Audit vendor invoices
- Read and understand hauling service contracts
- Create client invoices at contracted pricing
- Answer billing-related questions from clients
- Work collaboratively with the Financial Controller, Billing Manager, and all other Waste Solutions Canada team members
- Various finance duties and ad hoc project work as needed
Skills
- Accounting-related degree or diploma and 1+ year of equivalent experience preferred
- Driven to maintain high standards in all tasks
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities on short notice
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with knowledge of other Microsoft Office software (Word, OneNote, etc.)
- Experience working in accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
