Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trustpoint.One has partnered with a growing company in search of contract attorneys with a passion for civil rights. The role involves providing legal support regarding civil rights and criminal law matters, preparing and reviewing legal documents, and engaging with clients and law enforcement via video conferencing.
- Responsibilities
- Providing legal support regarding basic civil rights and criminal law matters
- Preparation and review of legal documents
- Direct engagement, via video conferencing, with clients and members of law enforcement
- Documentation and reporting following video call engagements
- Skills
- Membership, in good standing, of at least one US State Bar
- Interest in federal civil rights, constitutional law or criminal law
- Strong aptitude for listening; good note taking skills
- Private, dedicated workspace and laptop with internet and video capabilities
- Ability to commit to a fixed work schedule for the first 30 days of this assignment
- All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
