Bridgeline Solutions is a leading global technology company seeking an experienced Customs/Import Contract Attorney for a 12-month remote engagement. The role involves providing strategic legal counsel on U.S. import compliance, conducting tariff impact assessments, and collaborating cross-functionally to mitigate compliance risks.
- Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal counsel on U.S. import compliance
- Conduct tariff impact assessments
- Collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate compliance risks
- Develop global trade compliance programs
- Skills
- J.D. degree with active U.S. state bar membership (or foreign equivalent)
- 8+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years counseling on U.S. import laws (in-house or law firm)
- Strong expertise in HTS classification, country of origin determinations, marking requirements, and U.S. tariffs (IEEPA, Sections 232 and 301)
- Proven ability to draft global trade compliance contract provisions
- Strong program management skills
- Immediate start preferred
