FINANCE DATA ANALYST
Location; Remote, US
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Finance Data Analyst who will act as a critical bridge between the IT department and the Finance team. You will be responsible for managing complex financial datasets, ensuring data integrity, and translating technical data into high-level, actionable reports for Investors and executive leadership. This role requires a unique blend of technical IT proficiency and a deep understanding of financial reporting standards.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Query and analyze large datasets from internal financial systems to identify trends, variances, and performance metrics.
- Design, develop, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages specifically tailored for investor transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with the IT Infrastructure team to optimize data warehouse structures and ensure the seamless flow of financial information between systems.
- Create dynamic dashboards that allow stakeholders to visualize financial health at a glance.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure all investor-facing reports are accurate and consistent with the general ledger. QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within a finance or accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Expertise in Excel (macros, VBA, Power Pivot).
- Experience with ERP systems and BI reporting tools.
- Proven ability to explain complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders and external investors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of real estate investment metrics (IRR, NPV, Cap Rates).
- Experience with automated data integration and ETL processes.
- Background in IT project management or systems implementation.
